Alcoa in Samara
The Samara facility, one of Russia's largest fabricated aluminum operations, is located about 500 miles southeast of Moscow. It features cast house, flat rolled products, extrusion, and forging capabilities and serves customers in many markets, including transportation, packaging, and industrial products. The facility includes forging and extrusion presses, and has sheet rolling and coating capabilities similar to Alcoa's large plants in the U.S. The plant's production and quality control systems have been ISO 9001/9002 certified and it is preparing for the ISO 14001 certification in Ecological Management. |

Samara - March 20-21, 2007 - Alcoa Foundation and Alcoa Russia's Samara Plant announced a new educational program on sustainability and conservation in Russia, called "We are in charge of the future" (2007-2008).
